Raupack Machinery for the diagnostics industry falls into one of four categories: device assembly machinery, test strip manufacturing machines, PCR cartridge forming, filling and sealing machinery or assay kit assembly. In each area we are able to supply machines for initial development and production. These are designed with technologies that can be scaled up to full production.
Our reel based test strip manufacturing machines are able to slit, punch and laminate test strip layers down to micron levels of accuracy. We are able to print enzymes or coat the layers in a bath. The resulting test strips can be either foil packed or loaded into vials.
Diagnostics devices can be assembled on our intermittent and continuous motion assembly machines capable of speeds up to 500 parts per minute.
PCR cartridges are often shaped specially for instruments or readers. We have expertise in designing and manufacturing tools to form the cavities required. Our machinery mixes suspensions, doses and fills PCR strips with the required reagents and cuts and seal the cartridges lid foil.
Downstream of the Device or cartridge manufacture or filling machine, we build machinery to package the diagnostic product. This may involve placing the products into carrier trays, cartoning or combining them into assay kits using our top load cartoner. The top load cartoner is modular and can be used to package an almost unlimited number of products into the assay kit.
