Pharmaceutical Powder Dosing Machines

OmniDose Modular Powder Filler

Expertise is in a wide range of powder dosing technologies. This includes powders for inhalation, APIs and laundry powders.

Our standard powder dosing systems include the following dosing principles:

  • Drum Doser
  • Dosator
  • Tamping Pin
  • Membrane Filler
  • Pellet Dosing for Micro Quantities
  • Chamber Filler
  • Fluidic Filler for larger quantities of Inhalation Powders

These can be mounted on Trolleys to fill into the following:

  • Vials
  • Capsules
  • Blisters
  • Medical Devices

Recently we have used our drum doser to fill Active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), like insulin, into vials, capsules or blisters.

These powder dosing principles are suitable from laboratory testing, through clinical trials into full scale production.

Powder dosing stations are modular and can be exchanged to suit different powders.

For full scale production the OmniDose can be integrated with a blister machine or medical device transport system.

News: High resolution mass determination sensor

    10/04/2010 16:26:42

We now have available a new mass determination (weighing) sensor for powders. This is available as an option on our Modu C capsule filling machines and Omnidose powder filling systems. It is compatible with both the drum filler for cohesive powders and the conventional dosator powder filler. The benefit of the sensor is that no tare weight needs to be taken and the system is much faster, being able to work in real time, than a weighcell. The sensor is able to determine fill weights in the range of 0,5 mg to > 500 mg. and can determine the weights of powders, granules and pellets. The sensor creates a mass proportional signal. The measured value will be transformed into a weight value using a batch-specific calibration factor. The variance of the sensor system, expressed as relative standard deviation when compared to a laboratory balance, is ≤ 3% for powders and pellets
