Pouch Machines Twenty five years ago the then young Harro Hoefliger with his then small packaging machinery company mainly specialised in refurbishing and customising standard cartonning blister packing and capsule filling machinery. HH were approached by a major multinational and asked to built a sachet packing line for instant soups which was a little special. The cartonner was a special design with a special flip top opening and there were other features requiring special design which resulted in the established players turning the challenge down.
With already a reputation for custom built machines, HH took up the challenge and this led the company to be a market leader in sachet machinery for the instant drink and powdered soup sector, offering a complete range of systems, such as specialised powder feeders for the different ingredients in the soup powder.
Today, Harro Hofliger’s commitment to innovation had led it to move on to bigger challenges. Sachets with a difficult polypropylene seal at 450 sachets a minute? On line X-ray sterilisation of the web for use in an ISO 5 cleanroom? Microweighing of granules into sachets under GMP conditions? These and many other customised machines were taken on by the Harro Hofliger team.
Sealing and cutting of difficult webs became a core competence are machines were built for special applications. HH were the first to offer the market machines for sachet packing wound dressings and transdermal patches online with the primary web lamination and in multiple formats, greatly increasing the utilisation of the packaging machinery.
Harro Hofliger has come a long way since its first sachet machines. Now a leading supplier of customized packaging machinery to the life sciences sector, they are ready for whatever the market demands in machinery for sachets, bags and pouches.
