New Technology and New Machinery Devleopments Over the past few years, the number of DPI powder inhalers has risen rapidly and competition has become intense. A ring shaped format for the inhaler is a logical solution for a compact device, but creates problems to fill efficiently, as for example a drum filler must dose powder by filling along the line of a cylinder.
